Glassons Conference - NOOSA

Morning Everyone!!

I just wanted to write a little blog post about the past couple of days!!!

As my friends would know I currently work in the head office for Glassons and once a year we have a conference with the whole team including all of head office and the Managers across Australia.  This was my first conference and all I can say is wow what a hectic past 2 days.  It really was an amazing experience we didn't get 10 minutes to ourselves it was literally leaving one thing and running to the shower to be ready in 15 minutes for the next event but it was really worth the 5:00am wake up calls to meet all the inspiring people we met.  I can’t give too much away but Glassons vision is growing and all the customers will be seeing some amazing changes to the brand so watch this space.   I just wanted to talk about the 2 people that stood out to me the most!

Back in the day when I was doing a featured commercial I had the privilege to work with Jules Sebastian actually not knowing who she was after she gave me a lift home until the next day I saw her on the front of a cover with her husband Guy Sebastian and then everything made sense!! The fact you don’t come across many nice stylists in that industry she really stood out to everyone and it stuck with me how lovely and friendly she was.   Whilst organising the conference in the head office one of my colleagues asked if anyone could recommend  a good stylist to style our girls, of course I mentioned Jules and now that she has her own TV show she has a public profile and is very known in the industry so they went with it and hired her for the job.  I spoke with her and we had a laugh about the other job and she was so thankful for the chance of working with us.  So a huge shout out to Jules who is so beautiful not only on the outside but in the inside too which is why she works with big clients such as Jessica Mauboy and doesn't need the help of her husband’s name to get her some awesome jobs.

The second day we all had yoga mats on our bed and we thought our 5:30am workout was going to be meditating on the beach, WRONGGGGGG!! The yoga mats were a joke and when we all walked 30 minutes up the hill to the beach we thought that was our exercise for the day.   We then got to the beach and saw Shannon Ponting standing there and we were all in sooo much shock!! the first thing I said to him was "I was the only one who forgot water so does that mean I get out of training" he laughed and said "Don't worry about water you will throw it up anyway within 5 minutes".  He then pushed us so hard that we were covered head to toe in sand and sweat, it made me realise why I probably am not seeing the results I want at the gym haha.  One of the girls asked how you get motivated every day.  His answer was "I am not motivated, I am like everyone else I don't love waking up at 5:00am in winter being the only one on the street exercising.  He said it’s the fact I choose to do it which is why I see the results".  Which really made me realise saying “I don’t feel motivated today” is just a word we use as an excuse and just realising if you want results you might need to wake up at ridiculous times but you will feel amazing for it.  Shannon was so inspiring and he spoke to us for about an hour on just his life experiences and taught us so much.  I have found my new mentor! and the girls were in love haha so you can say it was a successful morning!

Here are some photos of the 2 days madness
